SEPHORA COLLECTION Izak Baked Eyeshadow Palette

I was super excited to purchase the SEPHORA COLLECTION Izak Baked Eyeshadow Palette, but was disappointed to see three of the eight shadows were broken upon opening (I'm not sure if this happened during shipping or after). Unfortunately, this palette was on clearance and is no longer available, so I can't get a replacement. However, the palette is still perfectly usable and there is still plenty of shadow left. I doubt I'd use it all up in the designated 6 month period after opening date anyway, so I didn't think it was worth mentioning to Sephora. However, I will say that Sephora has awesome customer service. Upon receiving a broken bottle of polish in a previous order, they offered to see if they had a replacement at another store and refunded me for the amount that I paid.

SEPHORA COLLECTION Izak Baked Eyeshadow Palette

Top Row: Bonsoir, Rustique, Vienna, and Chiffon
Bottom Row: City of lights, Vintage, Mystere, and Candy

I took swatches of the shadows on the back of my hand in corresponding order to the palette. I applied each shade wet since you can get the most out of your baked eyeshadow when wet.

This was my first time trying baked eyeshadow and so far I'm loving it! The colors are so pigmented and gorgeous! My favorites are City of lights, Vintage and Mystere! I am so happy with these baked shadows that I am excited to try others in the future.

Have you tried baked eyeshadow? Do you use it dry or wet?
Do you prefer baked eyeshadow over other shadows?

China Glaze: Mimosa's Before Mani's

Today I'm going to show you a few swatches of one of my favorite polishes from China Glaze!
I got Mimosa's Before Mani's during my Trans Design Purchase back in June.

Mimosa's Before Mani's was part the Spring 2013 Avant Garden Collection. Unlike other collections by China Glaze, this was the only shade I was interested in from this line. I love the name of this color-I love mimosas and manicures!! Plus I'm a huge fan of corals, so this shade was right up my alley!

Are you a fan of China Glaze? If so, what's your favorite shade from the Avant Garden Collection?
If not, what brands of nail polish do you prefer?

Project 10 Pan: Sample Size Edtion

Since I'm a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant, I always have a ton of beauty products on hand and my collection has only accumulated since I've started my Ipsy subscription and become obsessed with Sephora and Urban Decay!! Plus my collection is only going to grow because I'll be receiving my first Birchbox this month!

I seriously have so much makeup that I figure I probably should do a Project 10 Pan. I've been intrigued with Project 10 Pan since I've read about it a few weeks ago, but the thought of not being allowed to buy any cosmetics is kind of a foreign concept. It would be a huge challenge for me and I'm not sure if I'm quite ready to go to that extreme yet. Besides most of my makeup isn't anywhere near close to being used up that it would take me forever to hit completion.

But I still would like to give the concept a try on a smaller scale, so I'm going to start my Project 10 Pan with samples products. I have a ton of samples and travel size products that I've collected along the way. It would be great to clear out some of the clutter and finally get around to trying out some new products. This way I can also feel some form of accomplishment and maybe see that Project 10 Pan isn't so intimidating.

Here are the 10 sample items on my list:
1. Philosophy Cinnamon Buns (shampoo, bath and shower gel)
2. Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
3. Ole Henriksen Perfect Truth cc crème
4. Boscia Super-Charge Overnight Moisture
5. Fresh Soy Face Cleanser
6. Paula's Choice Hydralight Shine-Free Daily Mineral Complex
7. Paula's Choice Hydralight Healthy Skin Refreshing Toner
8. Jergens Daily Moisture
9. Bumble and bumble Surf Foam Wash Shampoo and Crème Rinse Conditioner
10. L'OREAL Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream

In accordance with Project 10 Pan rules, I must completely use up all the items on my list (or hit the pan) before buying any new cosmetics. I am allowed to buy a replacement of a product if I completely run out of it and am still allowed to receive my beauty subscription boxes since I prepaid for them. I think once I'm done with this list I will move on to another list of samples to keep things flowing.

Have you ever done Project 10 Pan? If so, how was the experience?
Have you or would you do it again? If you haven't done one, would you ever consider doing one?

Zoya Sunshine Collection

Today I'm going to show you the last of the swatches for the polish I purchased during the Zoya Summer Flashback Sale! The following two polishes are from the Sunshine Collection.

Rica

This is a nice light metallic coral shade. It's very pretty in the sunshine, like the collection's name suggests. I love corals and this one was no exception!

Faye

This is a very pretty bronzed mauve shade. However, it's a little more on the neutral side for my taste. I wish the purple undertones were more apparent than the brown.

Given my love for corals, I prefer Rica over Faye.
Which of these two do would you rather wear?

Urban Decay Splurge Pt. III

Right after I my two clearance purchases, Urban Decay came out with a promotion offering 3 free deluxe samples with a $35 purchase. So you know me, I had to make another purchase! Since I had already stocked up on all the sale items I wanted, I splurged on two items I had my eye on.

Urban Decay Haul #3

Revolution Lipstick (in Streak)
Retail $22.00

I really liked the sample of Anarchy in my August Ipsy bag,  that I was interested in trying out other colors. Since Ipsy and UD had a promotion offering free shipping with any Revolution Lipstick purchase, I decided to purchase a full size in another shade. I really wanted to try a softer pink, so after looking at swatches online I decided upon this shade. I'll be making a separate post with comparison swatches of my UD lipsticks!

Build Your Own Palette (Melt)
Retail $18.00

I love the idea of building your own palette-I like having the ability to customize it anyway I want and being able to swap out colors whenever I like. This beautiful palette comes with a never-before-seen eyeshadow called Melt (the palette's namesake). The eyeshadow is a $18.00 value on it's own, so it's kind of like you are getting the reusable palette for free! While I'm dying to try out my new palette, I'm going to wait on purchasing other colors to fill it until there's another good promotion since I'm still have my other UD palettes to use.

Free Deluxe Samples: B6, Lush Lash Mascara, and Anti-Aging ESPP

The B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray and Anti-Aging Eyeshadow Primer Potion are brand new products. I already love the Original Primer Potion, so I'm sure to love the anti-aging version!! But according to the Cosmetics Cop, the B6 should be avoided and while the Lush Lash Mascara doesn't have the power to grow your lashes as claimed, it is still a good mascara. I'm a little disappointed that I won't be able to use all of these items, but at least they were free. And I'll still get plenty of use out of the ESPP and mascara, so it was still worth it.

Free Sample: Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion Smart Card

Have you tried Urban Decay's new Revolution Lipstick? If so, which shade is your favorite?
What do you think of the other new products Urban Decay recently launched?
