I couldn't find the size listed on this sample, so I compared it to the Volumizing Shampoo I got in last month's Birchbox. It seemed just a bit taller but just as wide in size. Since the shampoo was measured at an ounce, I am assuming this sample contains at least an ounce worth of product and will base it's value as such. I really liked this detangle spray-though I don't typically buy a product like this, it comes in handy once in a while.

This fragrance expresses the carefree SoCal beach vibe and sophistication of Parisian Cafés. It makes a great Summer scent and the full size bottle would look lovely on a vanity!

Supergoop! Everyday SPF 30 with Cellular Response Technology

I love getting sunscreen! I'm especially excited to try this broad-spectrum sunscreen because it's oil-free and contains antioxidants!

Coastal Scents Revealed 2 Palette Set (Sunset)

I haven't had the chance to try Coastal Scents until now, but I've heard of the Revealed 2 palette. I'm glad I got to try this sample because I absolutely love these shadows! They are so buttery and gorgeous! I definitely want to add this palette to my collection and check out the original Revealed palette!

This isn't something I would typically buy for myself, but they might come in handy this Summer!

This was one of the lowest valued boxes we've had, but I will get use out of all the products. Sometimes it's not about how much everything costs, but how much use it'd be. I'd rather have an inexpensive product that I know I will use to the last drop, than an expensive one that I won't even touch.

I liked the hairspray I got in my December Birchbox, so I was excited to try this out. I really like this shampoo-the smell and texture are nice.

I also really liked the matching conditioner. This was a bonus item they threw in with the shampoo, so I can't really be upset that they sent me a foil packet. But I wish they had given me the same size sample!

This is a Birchbox Exclusive! This product contains eight benefits, and is designed for all skin tones. I thought it looked dark coming out of the tube, but it blended nicely and felt light and smooth.

 

Cynthia Rowley Beauty Eyeliner

This is another Birchbox Exclusive! I was so excited to get this because I've wanted to try it since they first introduced it to Birchbox!! I've never owned anything by Cynthia Rowley, so I'm excited to add this liner to my collection.

 

Gilchrist & Soames Spa Therapy Body Lotion

Deluxe Size (1.35 fl oz)-$2.53 Value!

 I was happy to get this in my box because I really liked the last body lotion I got from this brand. However, I prefer the packaging of this lotion to the one I got in my March Birchbox.  I also love that this one contains extracts of Japanese Sea Fennel and other sea based vitamins and minerals. I just love trying spa products and would definitely like to try the matching body wash!
 

 

Smarty Pants All-in-One Gummy Vitamins for Adults

Sample Size (2 Gummies)-0.33 Value!

 

I have been wanting to try gummy vitamins for some time now because I'm terrible about taking my vitamins. I feel these would help because I would be more willing to take them thinking of it as a little treat! These gummies are delicious-they taste just like candy! And the packaging is so cute-I love owls!! I just wish they had sent us a full serving size, so that we got our full vitamin requirement and a chance to try out all the flavors.

Value: $24.65!

While this wasn't the highest value box, I will use everything. I especially liked the shampoo and lotion, and would look into purchasing the gummy vitamins.

Birchbox December 2013

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in so long! My friend wasn't able to fix my computer, so now I have to take it back to Best Buy to see what they can do for me. But today I want to show you what I got in this month's Birchbox!!

 

 

Deceber Birchbox

 

This month's theme is Sparkle and Shine or Holiday 2013.

They changed the packaging of the box slightly this month, which was a nice touch.

 

 

Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensee Cologne Absolue

Sample Size (0.05 fl oz?)-$1.33?

 

I had to estimate the cost of this sample since I couldn't find a size on the vial. I went with 0.05 since that seems to be the typical size for fragrance samples. I thought this had a nice scent, but I don't like it enough to purchase it. I definitely prefer the Viva La Juicy Noir sample I got in last month's box!

 

 

 

Number 4 Non-Aerosol Hairspray

Deluxe Size (30 ml)-$4.50 Value!

 

This was my favorite product in this month's box! This hairspray works well-it doesn't leave your hair crunchy at all! Plus it has a nice smell to it and the packaging is better for the environment!!

 

 

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré (24-Hour Miracle Cream)

Sample Size-$1.87

 

This product claims to be a primer, moisturizer, and makeup remover all in one. According to the Cosmetics Cop this just has a basic formula not worth the hype because many moisturizers containing it's ingredients also work as a primer and makeup remover.

 

 

LAQA & Co. Fat Lip Pencil (Ring of Fire)

Deluxe Size (0.07 oz)-$9.69 Value!

 

I think this lip pencil is pretty cute-they even called this small version Lil' Lip! But I would have been more excited if they sent me a different color since I just received a red lip crayon in my Ipsy bag last month. I won't swatch this for you guys because I'll save it for when I'm done using my other pencil.

 

 

Chuao Chocolatier Chocolate Bar (Orange-a-go-go)

I loved getting this in my box-who doesn't like getting chocolate? But orange chocolate isn't my favorite, so I would go for a different flavor if I were to ever purchase it in the future.

 I thought this box was okay, but I was expecting a lot more for the holidays. This was by far my lowest valued box and the least exciting.
