Sephora Beauty Splurge Pt. VII

During the triple points promotion, Sephora also had an additional special offer for VIBs that I could not pass up! VIBs could receive a bag full of 9 samples with any online $35 purchase!! How could I not make a third purchase when I could get so many samples on top of scoring triple points?!

Sephora Beauty Haul # 7

Urban Decay Nail Color
Retail $15.00 Each

Addiction and Vice

During my first visit to an Ulta Beauty store a few weeks ago, I tested Addiction and absolutely loved the color! I had only tried it out on one nail and for the rest of the day could not stop looking at it-I knew I'd want to wear the shade on all my fingers!! This is the most I've ever spent per bottle of nail polish, but I just had to have these limited-edition bottles! I love the packaging-I just love skulls!! And Addiction is so gorgeous that I expect to love Vice just as much!

SEPHORA COLLECTION Outrageous Prisma Chrome Metallic Eyeshadow (Golden Peach)
Retail $16.00 on sale for $7.00!
I just love the quilted design on these! And after seeing swatches of this shade online, I had to purchase this in the peach. It's so pretty that I'd love to wear it myself, but I think this shade would look better on my sister Erica!!

SEPHORA COLLECTION Outrageous Prisma Chrome Metallic Eyeshadow (Golden Taupe)
Retail $16.00 on sale for $7.00!
I'm also giving this one to Erica for her birthday since I think this taupe would be perfect for her and I just purchased Taupe #6 for myself (post to follow).

Hello Kitty Nail Art Stickers (Half Moon)
Retail $4.00 on sale for $3.00!
These are too cute, so I also picked these up to be an addition to her birthday gift!

Hello Kitty Nail Art Stickers (Metallic)
Retail $4.00 on sale for $3.00!
I had already purchased these for myself, but had to pick up another for Erica, a big Hello Kitty fan!

Free Gift With Purchase: VIB Celebration Bag
The bag is a fairly large and I like the black and white chevron design!

VIB Celebration Bag Samples: Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional (0.25 oz), Stila Lip Glaze Apricot (0.05 oz), Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Maverick (0.07 oz), Tokyomilk Dark La Vie La Mort No. 90 Shea Butter Handcreme (no size listed on sample), L'Occitane Cleansing And Softening Shower Oil With Almond Oil (1.18 fl. oz.), Sephora Collection Age Defy Moisture Cream SPF 15 (0.17 oz), Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 Nude (0.5 oz), Sephora Collection Colorful Eyeshadow #56 (0.07 oz), Hanae Mori Butterfly Eau de Toilette (0.04 oz), and Boscia Luminizing Black Mask (0.35 oz)

Even though this bag isn't 100% as it was pictured, it is amazing!! While I was supposed to get 9 samples, I somehow ended up with 10. Yay, freebies!! I didn't receive the exact samples that were shown during the promotion-a few got swapped out with others as I read happened to a lot of other VIBs. I got the Bare Minerals lip gloss, Tokyomilk Handcreme, L'Occitane Cleansing And Softening Shower Oil With Almond Oil (1.18 fl. oz.), and Boscia Luminizing Black Mask instead of the Buxom Full-On Lip Polish Dolly (0.07 oz), L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream (0.34 oz), and First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser (1 oz) advertised (I'm not 100% sure which was the extra goodie). While the substitutions bothered some people, I'm okay with it since I feel they made good substitutions. Plus Sephora didn't have to offer us an awesome bag full of samples instead of the usual one deluxe sample, so anytime I can get 9 samples in a cute bag over one sample is a win for me!!

Free Samples: Bumble and bumble Gentle Shampoo, CLEAN Rain Eau de Parfum Spray, and Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

I had already received this Bumble and bumble sample 2 purchases ago, but I chose it again since I wasn't interested in many of the other samples offered this time around and who couldn't use more shampoo? I chose the Rain sample because I love having fragrance vials to store in my handbag, but I have yet to try this one since I keep reaching for my Chloe sample from my last purchase (I like the scent and prefer spray top vials). And I'm happy to finally get the chance to try out this Smashbox primer even if it's a small size!!

Taking a closer look at my order, I now realize that I purchased everything in pairs! Do you ever buy things in twos? At least most of my order was for gifts for my sister's birthday seeing as I've been splurging a lot for myself lately!!

Sephora Beauty Splurge Pt. VI

From August 12-18th Sephora was offering VIBs triple points.
Today I will be sharing with you my second of three purchases!

SEPHORA COLLECTION Full Speed Ahead Traincase
Retail $110.00

I have been wanting a traincase to store all my beauty essentials for a while now, but have been waiting for one that I'd really love! And I absolutely love this one!! The design is so sleek and edgy!! This was a big purchase for me since it's the most expensive item I've purchased since buying my Clarisonic, but it's another investment piece. I know I will get great use out of this, so it's definitely worth the money to me.

I have beauty items littered all over my apartment, so it's about time I finally get organized by storing them all in one place! This traincase is the perfect size to store my stash with it's multiple compartments! Plus it comes with a shoulder strap to make it easy to carry on the go!!

The bottom level features an adjustable compartment to store items of various size!!

Free Deluxe Sample: Smashbox Photo Finish More Than Primer Blemish Control
I was thrilled that Sephora was offering this as one of five primer samples! I've been wanting to try Smashbox for some time now and was particularly happy to get this since I didn't receive a sample of the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer in my Ispy bag this month.

Free Samples: Philosophy Full Of Promise Treatment Duo, Chloe Eau de Parfum Spray, and Ole Henriksen Perfect Truth CC Crème in Light

I think the Philosophy sample was put in to replace another another sample I had chosen, but I can't remember what that was now. I wasn't interested in receiving this item, so I'll just pass it on to a friend. I do really like the scent of the Chloe perfume and the full size bottle looks lovely, but I have so much fragrance that I probably won't purchase it unless it goes on sale. I'm also excited to try out the Ole Henriksen sample since it's a new brand for me and I like trying out new cc crèmes.

Do you own a traincase? If so, does it fit all your beauty essentials and do you carry it around?
If not, how do you like to store your cosmetics?

Sephora Beauty Splurge Pt. V

My Sephora purchases have only increased since becoming a VIB!! From August 12-18th Sephora had a promotion offering double points for Beauty Insiders, triple points for VIBS, and quadruple points for VIB Rogue Members! No surprise that I took advantage and made a few Sephora purchases! Here's the first of three purchases I made during the promotion!!

Sephora Beauty Haul #5

Hello Kitty Wild Thing Makeup Palette
Retail $34.00 on sale for $17.00 ($200 Value)

My sister loves Hello Kitty, so I picked up this palette for her birthday next month. I was debating between this one and the Hello Kitty Tokyo Pop Eyeshadow Palette, but decided on this palette due to the size and value. It comes with 12 eye shadows, complimentary eyeliner, and matching mirror! It's too cute and she can save the tin it comes in after she's used up all the makeup!

SEPHORA COLLECTION Izak Baked Eyeshadow Palette
Retail $21.00 on sale for $13.00

I just love this palette design-the notebook style is so creative!! This will be my first time trying baked eyeshadow, so I'm super excited! Plus this will be a great palette to carry in my handbag!!

SEPHORA COLLECTION Professional Dual Pencil Sharpener
Retail $3.00 on sale for $1.00

This will be a great sharpener to store in my makeup bag! Plus the design is perfect for travel!!

SEPHORA COLLECTION Artist Color Box Makeup Palette
Retail $34.00 on sale for $25.00 ($145 Value)

This palette looks awesome!! It contains 24 waterproof eye shadows, six lip glosses, five eye pencils, and a double-ended applicator brush. I plan to do a follow up post with swatches!!

Hello Kitty Nail Art Stickers (Metallic)
Retail $4.00 on sale for $3.00

I'm also a Hello Kitty fan and want to get more into nail art. I thought these stickers were too cute and would be an easy way to decorate my nails!

Free Deluxe Sample: SEPHORA COLLECTION Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover

I use makeup remover on a daily basis, so I will get a lot of use out of this! Plus the size is perfect to store in my makeup bag!!

Free Samples: Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup, Bumble and bumble Gentle Shampoo, and Agave Oil Treatment

Urban Decay is one of my new favorite brands, so I'm stoked to try this makeup sample! And I love hair product samples since I buy hair products less frequently than makeup.

Extra Free Samples: Chloé Eau de Parfum card, Yves Saint Laurent
TOUCHE ÉCLAT - Radiant Touch

Sephora threw in a couple extras which is always appreciated!!

Reward Deluxe Samples (100 points each): Alterna Caviar CC Cream for Hair 10-in-1 Complete Correction, Deborah Lippmann Happy Birthday Lacquer -Glitter (in Happy Birthday),  and Marc Jacobs Beauty Highlighter- Gel Crayon

This is the first time that I've redeemed my reward points-Sephora had some fantastic rewards!! I've been eyeing some of Alterna's Caviar hair products, so I'm stoked to get my hands on their CC Cream! I was also thrilled to grab a Deborah Lippmann polish since I've been dying to try her polish since I've seen swatches of The Mermaids Collection! I was a bit bummed to miss out on the deluxe sample of the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, but I picked up the Marc Jacobs Gel Crayon in it's place. I was ecstatic to have the opportunity to try out this brand new beauty line! And I love the eyeliner-it glides on smoothly and has intense color payoff!

Do you like to use makeup palettes or individual cosmetics? If you use palettes, do you come up with looks using just the colors in a single palette or do you combine multiple palettes to create the perfect look?

Zoya Sparkle Nail Polish Collection

Hey guys, sorry for the infrequent posts lately! I just purchased a ton of stuff from Sephora and Urban Decay which I'm working on posting and I'm still working my way through the polish that I purchased from the Zoya Summer Flashback Sale a couple of months ago! But today I have some swatches from the Zoya Sparkle Collection for you!!

Mimi

I love purple polish and Mimi did not disappoint! It is truly a gorgeous color! The shade is rich looking-definitely the color of royalty!!

Alegra

This color reminds me of a pair of pink sequined ballet flats I use to own back in college. They were like a hot pink version of the ruby slippers in The Wizard of Oz and I absolutely loved them. Alegra is a deep fuchsia with plenty of sparkle-the perfect pedicure shade!

What do you think of sparkle nail polish? Which of these two do you prefer?

Ipsy Glam Bag August 2013

My Ipsy bag came in the mail today and I just could not wait to share the contents with you!!

This month's theme is Glamour Academy!!
This month's bag is cute. Others have mentioned it reminds them of Hogwarts and I totally agree!

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick (Anarchy)

This was a variation item which could have been replaced by a Noya Beauty Lip Balm. I really wanted to try out Urban Decay's new Revolution Lipstick, so I was so ecstatic to get the deluxe sample in my bag! I received the pink shade, Anarchy while other Ipsters got it in the red shade, 69.

\

Pixi Lash Booster Mascara (Blackest Black)

Everyone got this mascara, but some got it in the other color, Blackest Blue. I have so much mascara that I'm not thrilled about this product. But I am glad that I received it in the black since it's more versatile.

Mica Beauty Cosmetics Eye Shadow (Bronze)

This was another variation item. Instead of getting one of two items offered, Ipsy brought back seven items from previous glam bags in which we receive two products. Some Ipsters were upset thinking they were going to get repeats from their previous bags, but Ipsy assured them they wouldn't get products they had already received. Since I am a new subscriber I didn't mind that these items weren't 'new' since I've never seen them before. Other items you could receive were Nailtini Straight Up Color Nail Lacquer in Mai Tai, Chella  Brow Color Pencil, NYX Cream Blush,  Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer, City Color Cheek Stain, and Pacifica Alight Multi-Mineral BB Cream.

I just purchased a ton of Urban Decay eye shadow palettes on sale, so I'm not really in need of any more eye shadow. But I do like mineral makeup and this looks like it'd be a pretty color.

Chella Dazzling Dark Brown Eyebrow Color Pencil

This was the other item I received which others got in a previous bag. I was kind of hoping to get the Smashbox primer or Pacifica BB cream, but I am actually glad I got this item since I've almost used up my current eyebrow pencil. This pencil is a lot thinner than others I've used, so it will be interesting to try.

Michael Todd Jojoba Charcoal Gentle Exfoliating Facial Scrub

This was yet another variation item where others received a Pumpkin Nutrient-Rich Facial Mask instead. I was kind of hoping for the pumpkin mask, but I love scrubs so I'm content.

If you'd like to subscribe to Ipsy, please use my referral link here!

What do you think of this month's products?
Is there a brand or product you'd like to see in a future glam bag?
